It's that time of the year when I can't decide if would wear a complete Summer outfit or just layer it in case the weather gets chilly in the evening. So  I decided to add one of my Summer jackets and give it some color with my orange blouse (also here).

There are hot Summer days that is hard to decide what to wear, specially when you want to feel fresh, comfortable but work appropriate. A simple dress is always the best option. This one I can wear during the fall, layered with a sweater and boots. This time I just added statement necklaces.

About my look, it is basic and casual and the blazer makes it elegant at the same time. Can take you anywhere you want to look chic and casual.

Drapey Sleeves

Today's look is girly and sophisticated.  Love the drapey sleeves on this blouse, that alone was the reason I bought it (besides the fact that is was a good buy). It gives it a romantic twist specially when  paired with a flower skirt.

I do not  usually wear shorts, but the weather was just perfect over the weekend. I have a few rules about wearing shorts. First, you can't go just anywhere in shorts. There's a place and time for it, like parks, walk on the beach of just at home on a hot day. Second, the outfit has to be balanced. I don't like to show too much skin when choosing the top. A well covered blouse and even a lightweight blazer is perfect. Now, for younger girls outthere, you can basically break any rules.

I don't know if you've noticed how much I like green specially combined with navy. You may think green  would be a very difficult color to create an outfit with, specially any neon color. But it could be very vesatile specially combined with graphics and florals.

Polka Dots

Hola!! This passed weekend went by like a flash, maybe because we had such a nice weather, which doesn't happend too often in RI. I have to say that I can smile all day when the sun is shining.  

About my look, I love navy polka dots specially for a day on the bay. I like to add color to give it a bit of freshness.

Brighten up the day

Happy Wednesday everyone! Hope you're having a good week.

I wore this outfit the other day for work and it just brighted up my day. I love bright Spring colors, specially when there is that ray of sunshine. As soon as I put on my outfit, my mood immediately changed.

Over the Top

I

When putting an outfit together, I always start with bottom first, then work my way to the top, accessories and finally shoes. I bougth this blouse about a month ago and couldn't decide what to pair it with, so this time I started with the top instead. The printed pants needed something simple to go with it and this is what I came up with. You may not be able to tell but this is a high low tunic that can be worn easily with skinnies or tucked in with a skirt.
